The title of this album tells you all you need to know. If you're feeling lovesick — or downright heartbroken — this album is for you.

As I alluded to in the description, this album really pulls on the heartstrings. Its hazy, ethereal sound drifts through every track, the kind that makes you want to stare off into the distance and think about that one person — and I’d like to think we all have someone like that.

Cry carries a longing for someone, a longing for the feelings they brought on, and a desire to relive the times they had together. It discusses these feelings in a really up-front and intimate way. The writer doesn't hold back at all and I think that honesty is what made the album hit me so deeply — I got completely lost in it. As you can probably tell, I've got something of an emotional attachment to this album at this point, purely from the way I've related to it.

Okay, time to finally discuss my highlights from the album.

My first highlight track is Heavenly — literally. This track is the epitome of that longing for an intimate connection with that person. The track immediately starts with the singer asking for affection, asking whether the love is real or not. He follows it up by saying that this is the place he wants to be — in this heaven-like place with the person he loves. The instrumental on this track is lush, it's full of reverb and everything sounds like its flowing around like the tides. It's just such an ethereal track — as I mentioned earlier.

My second and last highlight (because I'm really tired and need to sleep) is the 7th track — Cry, the title track. This song is almost the complete opposite of Heavenly. It discusses the writer needing to leave the relationship, stating that it will only end in tears — his reasoning being that he won't be able to remain faithful. Compared to how he says he felt in Heavenly, this is a complete 180 in his feelings towards the person. I think this shows how fast a relationship — and feelings in general — can change, and how ending it before people get seriously hurt is the best way to deal with these changes.
